Craig Thomas is a Research Associate with Orion Policy Institute and works as an Emergency Communications Technician with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). A recent graduate of the Homeland Security Master of Professional Studies program from George Washington University, Craig additionally holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Davidson College. His academic research focuses on domestic and international threat analysis and mitigation. Writing on a diverse selection of topics from a red team analysis to improve the safety of DC’s Metro system, to the impact of the Captagon trade on transnational criminal networks, his scholarly efforts are varied. Specifically, his enthusiasm for the role of humanitarian thought while promoting US national security objectives guides his work.
