Ryan Mulvenna is a Research Associate at Orion Policy Institute, specializing in transnational crime trends. She served more than a decade in civil service and contractor roles as a Policy Advisor and Special Assistant in the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, and previously worked in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor and the Office of International Religious Freedom. She has a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs, with a concentration in conflict and conflict resolution, from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs and a B.A. in history and political science from Southern Methodist University.
